Working out what a virtual assistant costs in Texas can be confusing, since rates range from $5 an hour all the way to $45, depending on who you're hiring through.
Virtual assistants based outside the U.S. typically run in the $5-$15/hr range, U.S.-based website assistants usually land between $15 and $35 an hour, and specialized or senior VAs can run $25 to $45 an hour or more. What actually drives the price is where the VA is based and what you're asking them to do.
Something easy to overlook is whether you're hiring a freelancer directly or working with an agency. The hourly rate looks lower going direct, but you take on the screening, training, and backup coverage yourself.
